Syncing DroidX2 calendar to Google calendar

I have my Google calendar synced to my Droid X2 so that when I add an event online in my Google Calendar, it will appear on my Droid calendar automatically. However, I typically add/modify events from my phone, and when I do that (add a calendar event on my Droid), it doesn't appear on my online Google Calendar. Is there some way I can add/modify calendar events from my Droid phone and have it transfer to my Google Calendar (would be nice as a backup!)? Thanks!

Be sure your phone calendar is set to "not synced,not visible". To get there, open calendar, press menu, settings, manage calendars, phone calendar. Also,your gmail calendar on your phone should be set to "synced,visible" If your calendar doesn't automatically sync to your phone, you can do it manually. Your phone should have an accounts icon. Press that icon and then press your gmail address. There you will see sync calendar.
