Syncing issues with MAC and car audio...

Hi Everyone!

Well I have been a MAC user for a few years and since I just sold my iPhone I was looking for a replacement media device but did not want to go back to Apple. So Sunday I picked up the Note 8. I like the the size of the tablet, the multi-tasking features and the micro SD card slot. However, one reason I purchased this device was to be able to upload my music, podcasts, and audio books to for use on the go. First, I ran into issues using syncing with Kies. I finally got it to sync but only wifi and it doesn't seem to be working properly. Anyway, now that I have managed to transfer some music I have found that the tablet will not read Lossless. Haaaaa. Do I need to reformat all 3300 songs? Then I tried to use the USB to connect it to my Pioneer deck. It says that the usb is not compatible . A work around for this it to use the 3.5mm aux in on the deck but I am using that for my HM radio. Which means connecting and disconnecting all the time. Also the usb will keep the Note 8 charged which was a plus. So far I am really enjoying the tablet but much of what I want to use it for is being severely limited. I also haven't tried created any notes and saving them to my computer. I would hate to have to return it because it won't interact with any of my other components... Help!

Honestly if you were looking for something easily manageable for car audio AND you needed something for that amount of songs id have gone with a new receiver deck. I have the pioneer avh8400bh. I have a 64gb sd card that has absolutely every song and video that I care about on it and it just installs in a slot on my deck.

Also, are those songs formatted in true lossless or apples proprietary lossless codec. If its apples then good luck finding a device not apple that works.

Hey! Yeah I actually have a multi media deck, the Pioneer MVH-P8200. Worked great with my iPhone. For songs a SD might be okay even though scrolling through the menu sucks. But what about podcasts? I would have to keep removing the card to add new episodes. Not ideal.

Anyway, and most importantly getting information such as music, photos, etc from my MAC's to the note and back again is a royal PIA. Anyone have a streamlined way of accomplishing this?

Alot of people swear by airdroid. Its a wireless syncing app in the playstore. Might try there first. Weird that kies isnt working for you. Works fine for me. I used to be an apple fanatic as well. When I first hooked up my note 2 and note 8 to my pc kies notified me that it had found a backup for apple devices and automatiically imporyed them into kies. Then I hit sync and all my music and contacts and things like that came right over. Maybe a 10 minute affair. Weird.
