Hey guys,
I have an older mac (version 10.4.11), and when I plug my incredible into my mac, My computer says "the disk you inserted was not readable by this computer". Does anymone know how I can get me Mac to be compatible with my new phone? I was to start working on syncing some of my music from my itunes to my new incredible.. I'm coming from a iphone so I have no idea what im doing.. thanks so much!!

There are a couple of threads about this already out there but after searching i havent found them, but i know they exist. I'm not sure what the problem is but I have same prob running 10.4.11 also and with my iMac on 10.6.

When i plug in, i get the message, i just click the ok part and the message goes away and the drives pop up anyway. from there they're totally navigatable, (is that a word?) and you can just drag and drop music, ringtones, photos etc etc. Typical of a Mac, it just works.

as to adding music. i skip itunes. on either your internal or sd card (i bought a 16 gig card) i made a 'media' folder and inside that folder i made 'music' and 'video' and then just dragged all the music i wanted into the music folder. good news about ipod/itouch ripped video files, they play without a hitch on the indredible too. Every file i've ripped with handbrake under the iphone setting has worked.

Couple of threads for you:

I use a Mac and I sync my music with Salling Media Sync; no issues with that app. For photos I manually create directories in the phone's internal storage and/or SD card. You don't have to do anything to your phone to make it "compatible". Is just that Verizon/HTC decided not to offer a phone syncing app for Mac, so we have to rely on 3rd party apps. Hope this helps.
