Syncing with Bluetooth - FRUSTRATION

So, for the life of me I cannot get my HTC EVO to sync with my laptop.

I bought one of those USB BLuetooth keys so I can move photos and videos easily from my EVO to my laptop, but I cannot get it to work. My laptop will find my phone and pair, but will not connect. It says "Paired but not Connected". How can I fix this?

My computer only sees my phone as a "Phone/Modem" and does not allow me to explore the photos on the phone.

I have tried for hours and hours and still nothing... :-(

Any ideas?

IMO, it's software related. I have never been able to get a reliable connection with my PC and any mobile device I have owned. There is a program in the Marketplace that will allow you to connect via WiFi if you are on the same network - I would use that. Or just plan on using the USB cable.

I use SugarSync and have mapped folders for both pictures and videos.
