System App "Android TV Infrared Service"

The other day I set up several identical Dynalink units simultaneously, side by side. Upon completion I verified that all of them has the identical apps and configurations settings. While looking over the installed and system apps, one device had a system app "Android TV Infrared Service" that was not present on the other other devices. In addition, the system app was DISABLED by default and it is not an app that can be uninstalled.

The units were all purchased together. I called Dynalink and they have no idea about the "Android TV Infrared System" app, nor could I find any information about the app online. I was wondering if anyone knew anything about this app, why it is present only on one device, why it was disabled by default and why it can't be uninstalled.

The units function fine and except for this one app they are otherwise identical. Any information would be greatly appreciated.
