I have not seen a thread on this for the uninitiated to Android. I'm looking to do a system restore on my S3 in the next couple of days but before I do I had some questions about this. I'm on stock ICS not-rooted.

1- is there a way to export a list of currently installed apps?
2- is there a easy way of backing up saved data (Game, application settings, etc...)?
3- any other handy advice to take in consideration prior to reset?

Thanks,
BassMig

1. Try ShareMyAppsDonate: http://market.android.com/details?id=com.mattlary.shareMyAppsDonate (there's a free version as well)
2. Unless you're rooted there isn't a way to backup/restore application data. With that said, you can copy things like pictures, videos, etc. from the internal storage (/mnt/sdcard) to your computer or to the actual SDCard (/mnt/extSdCard). Use a USB connection or Kies Air for that.
3. Just read through the forum, and your phone-specific forum, for more information on what others have found useful.
