System UI and Process System not working - Nokia 3

Hello. Thanks for reading this,
I was charging my phone earlier, but after removing it from charge, a message popped up on my screen saying that neither the Process System, nor the System UI were responding.
I've tried to reset it by holding down the volume and power button, but I can't remove the System UI message to confirm the reset. Is there any other way to turn off the phone?
This is quite urgent, as I have a very early alarm in the morning, and I live in a dorm with thin walls. I don't want to wake up the entire hallway due to not being able to switch off the alarm.
Also, if the UI and Process Systems are not responding, and your phone is frozen as mine is, is it still possible to operate and switch off an alarm?

Welcome to Android Central! For most Android phones, pressing and holding Power for about 15-20 seconds will force a shutdown.

If the problem persists after rebooting, then see if it happens in Safe Mode:
