System update plus root

I would like to deeply apologize firstly If this topic has been discussed prior to me making this thread.

That being said, I the sytemupdate just got pushed through to my nexus today. I didn't accept, but would like to know if I did accept the update, would I lose root and is the update even worth doing?

Install ota rootkeeper, use it to backup root before applying the update and then use it to restore root afterwards.

Dont think 4.1.2 ota will remove root, but rootkeeper is a good option.
