It really doesn't say much. I wish they were specific. What we need is Marshmallow already!

Even though the Idol 3 is still still on Lollipop, we are getting the monthly security updates, if you go to system-about phone, you will see we now have the Jan., 2016 update. This is like what I have on my Marshmallow Nexus 5.

I can't see anything on system-about phone about a Jan 16 update ...can you post a screenshot please?

The volume, which was too loud even on the lowest setting, also seems fixed to me.

Some comments on Reddit that this update reduces the max volume. Has anybody experienced this?

Is there any way to revert back to the previous system after the update has been installed?

Battery charging got flaky after the update- need to reboot in order for plugged-in unit to show evidence of charging. Google Voice had to be retrained as well. Hopefully next update will stabilize matters.

I have the cricket idol 3 and I have no updates nor any android security update.. How do I know if my phone will remain updated? I seen a pic of someone having an update security for January but mines in Nov

I don't think I have seen you around... Welcome to Android Central!

As for your update, I'm not sure what to say. Has the update recently been released? If so, it just may take some time to get it. As far as I know, Alcatel doesn't allow users to download the stock image files. I will try to remember to look for you later.
