ok i have been getting a pop up about system update anyone got any info on this update

It removes carrier iq adds some more animated wallpapers removes nexus wallpaper and there may be some more stuff changed but this is all I know.

I recomend you update. Unless you are on pheonix rom. Or you care about being rooted.

Yeah the update will fail because pheonix rom changes the files system to ext4 and going back to stock won't work. However I know dmrlook is working on makeing a fixed update.zip to allow you to update.

Yes - I was working on an update.zip - however I ran into an issue. I got a modified update.zip to work, but then the phone won't boot at all. The update also tries to update modem.bin, but without the stock recovery, it sort of fails. I can recover (i.e. am not bricked) but only because I have gotten adept at using odin. those of us on phoenix may need to go a different route with the recovery. So sit tight...

i have mine updated for about 2 days now, Carrier IQ is still on my phone.. it never got removed. "keytracker" and all that stuff are still in the settings

keytracer is not CIQ. CIQ does look like it is gone, however until I get the update, I can not confirm.

I donj't have it but I looked at the update.zip and see what it is doing. I hope to release my kernel soon. Once I do, the phone will stop bothering you about the update.
