Has anyone gotten the March Security patches for the S9 or S9+ on T-Mobile yet?

Is it out? I don't think they'll update anything until April... the march update still kept Feb security.

Google released the March Security patches on March 5th. My S9+ is till on the Feb Security patch.

That's the issue with carrier phones. Just because Google releases it doesn't mean you'll get it.

I think like Spook said they will wait for April.

yeah...they might...but then on April 5th the new April Security patches will be released and they will be 2 months behind unless they do both patches at once.

Not unheard of. That's actually how it was for the first few on the note 8.one month behind then catch up, then one month behind and then they just stopped caring haha

S9 is first Samsung phone supporting project treble. This keeps core OS in separate partition from Samsung's customizations. This allows Samsung to more easily push out monthly patches. But will they? So far, given that we're about 17 days late on the March security patch, it's not looking great for a new approach from Samsung. Prove me wrong Samsung!

They have... the March update is out for Exynos phones and I believe soon-ish, if not already, for unlocked Qualcomm ones. But even if and when they do, this update still goes through the carriers if it's a carrier-branded phone, even if the phone supports Treble. So yeah, still going through all the hoops here if you chose carrier ones.

Thank you for info on March patch for Exynos S9.

They haven't proved me wrong, yet. My SD S9+ is still running Feb patch. Until they push March update to my class of device, it's vaporware. At this time I'm gonna choose to not blame carriers because I haven't seen or heard of the March patch for any SD S9, locked or unlocked. Maybe soon, as you suspect, but at this point we're at 17 days. Getting updates 25+ days after release has been the norm for non treble S8 devices. S9 should improve upon that given its project treble support.

I'll go out in a limb and believe that Samsung is also packaging patches for the device. Given its newness, surely they're still fixing bugs. Maybe that's why March patch is late?

At least for the US unlocked Samsung phones security updates/OS updates usually come after or best case at the same time as carrier version in the US. Not sure why it's the case but it's like that and so Samsung is as much to blame as the carriers. Or may be they don't want the carriers to look bad since they all are in bed together, and so delay the unlocked US updates. We can only speculate but honestly I'm not expecting any sudden improvement in updates on any of the models because of treble or other reason.
We won't see Android P until next March, there will be security updates probably not every single month but most months.
