T-Mobile LG G2 - Not getting Hangout notifications on G2 at all

Have you tried toggling off and on the notifications as well as leaving and re-joining the hangout? You may even want to try uninstalling and reinstalling the hangout app (if possible).

I've tried a few things I'll try a few more hopefully its just an isolated incident or a hangup with the particular hangout

I had the same issue. However I had the same issue with my Samsung Galaxy S4 when I was using it and also signed it to hangouts on another phone. I think it's some sort of issue when you try and run hangouts on multiple phone devices. Since they try to verify your phone number when using it on a phone. So I'm pretty sure it's not a G2 specific problem. Ultimately I had to reset the phone numbers in the hangouts app settings.
