T mobile locked or unlocked bootloader?

I've been searching everywhere, but all the sources I read from about a month ago says the sgs5 for t mobile has a locked bootloader yet it has become unrolled using chainfires method.

Sorry, but I can't find any news that clarifies this for me.

My buddy at works says he doesn't think so (he grabbed the S5) but he has only rooted it.. He hasn't tried a ROM yet.
