According to T-Mobile there are a few major and some minor reasons why it has been pulled for now till T-Mobile and LG work things out for the best!
Here is the list what T-Mobile told me.

#1 WiFi calling simply doesn't work! #2 Your 4G LTE will keep on dropping will go on and off for no apparent reason #3 Problems with sending out text and MMS massages #4 massive battery drain problem, as of right now there is no ETA on when the new build will be done, but every G3 owner regardless if you are on Lollipop or not you will receive this new update since build number 20B is fault
There are probably more minor issues like freezing and being very slow while opening apps etc and probably some other minor issues but those 4 are the main big issues

Some pretty major reasons, if you ask me. Good for them, though. At least TMobile G3 owners won't be left with phones that are basically useless. An old working ROM is a lot better than a new non-working one.

#1 - I don't use wi-fi calling these days (nice to have when needed though!) - tested and it worked but not exhaustive use.
#2. Haven't noticed LTE dropping or instability. No problems there for me.
#3 Zero problems with sms/mms and I use the stock app extensively
#4 Battery is excellent. No complaints.

The only problem with Lollipop that I have is ES File Explorer - it pauses when playing music either over the network or locally.

Hopefully LG and the carriers will get their act together soon!

From the T-Mobile site:
https://support.t-mobile.com/docs/DOC-11935#sw_version
"The Android 5.0.1 / Software D85120b update is paused. We want to make sure we’re providing quality updates to enhance your experience."

EDIT: I did a factory restore after upgrading to 5.01 - because of the ES File Explorer problem. I had no other problems that I was aware of prior to the factory restore and tested for several days. So my post applies to before and after restore. A factory reset certainly will only help things.

I had all these problems and did a factory reset yesterday and so far, I've been problem free. I did it yesterday so I haven't fully tested battery life, but it seems better so far. My wifi calls were dropping without fail and I've tried three calls and I had no problems.

I did a factory reset after the update. I am having problems with my LTE dropping to 4G several times each day. Not a huge problem, but it is annoying. Hopefully they fix everything fast.

Oh im experiencing all these problems and more and the factory reset did not help.

Lollipop is horrible on the lg g3 tmobile network. To add to the list:

(1)My alarms wont come on when i have set do no disturb even when it states alarms have priority
(2) there's a complete lag on the phone when switching too and from apps.

Poorly made OS for the lg g3.

The alarms is user error. Please check around - many forum posts on how to set alarms - it is a pain at first to configure. Check this post: http://forums.androidcentral.com/lg-g3/479883-alarm-my-phone-does-not-ring-silent-mode-why.html and a bunch of others.
Lag? No problem with mine. I don't doubt your problem but you have to provide some more information I'm on T-Mobile too.

I did a factory reset after the Lollipop update and my phone is still driving me crazy. Is there a way to revert back to KitKat until the 'fix' is released, (which will probably take months)?
I don't use WiFi calling but my phone is basically useless when its on WiFi so I don't use that at all anymore. My LTE signal drops to 2G CONSTANTLY, for no reason. Every time I need to use my phone I basically have to put it on & off airplane mode so it will search for the signal and find LTE again. I went to the Tmobile store and got a new SIM card to see if that would help the signal - it didn't. After the reset the lag is gone, but that's because I never restored my backup because its over the "6gig limit" for AFT, which is a pain in itself... And now it gets extremely hot and burns my leg in my pocket just like my G2 did........ I'm really tired of this phone's problems after lollipop but don't want to go through the cycle of getting refurbished ones over and over again, (like I did with the G2) so I'm hoping for a "fix" sooner than later.

I had the MMS issues and T-Mobile had me turn off VoLTE. They told me they know they have issues with it right now and this is just a work around. I have been able to send and receive MMS with no issues since making this change.

Some other issues im experiencing with lollipop
(1) duplicate/multiple text on the receiving and sender's end
(2) wifi calling always drops
(3) overheating issues on the phone causing it to reboot
(4) battery life has been shortened

(1) duplicate/multiple text on the receiving and sender's end - what app you using?
(2) wifi calling always drops - yup. That's 5.0.1! No fix for that yet.
(3) overheating issues on the phone causing it to reboot - A particular app is likely causing the problem, not working nice with 5.0.1 and memory leak
(4) battery life has been shortened - see my reply to "3"

At least your alarm is ok now?

WiFi Calling is a must for me when heading to the mountains. Most of the time it's a red icon, and when it's on it cuts the callers speech horribly, regardless of the router I connect to. I have to reset WiFi to get it work, or it fixes it by itself, or I restart the phone. I think I had it drop a call once. Too bad I don't have a Windows computer to downgrade. I'll ask T-Mo about this if they have a solution or I'll just live with it until the fix is published.

This is taking more time for Lollipop Rollout # 2.than I would have expected.
Sheeesh. Hey TMO, shake a leg.

5.1 from T-Mobile...I expect no sooner than July. Until then our phones will do the darnedest thing because of the memory leak.

I do have the wifi issue but it's not as bad after a couple factory resets. I also still have an issue where I lose any signal for the network. I called Tmobile and told them about the issue and they said it could be one of a few things just interfering with their signal where I am but I don't think that's the issue. When I am out and notice the little circle spinning above the signal bars I reset the phone and always have full bars right after.I don't move and no change in weather or anything he said it could be but he just sounded like he had no idea what else it could be. My biggest issue is tat it's been long enough since they halted this update and it past time thy made our phones work the way they should. I don't care if it's on LG, I am paying Tmobile for the service and bought the phone from them, it's their responsibility.

I don't have any of these issues. Not sure on wifi calling since I don't use it. At first had bad battery drain but after a factory reset I think it's better than with kitkat... I just can't stand the notifications on lock screen such as face detection every time I wake the phone up.

Good for you guys...Verizon is shoving it down our throats now without a choice.

This is driving me nuts. The wifi calling is so unreliable. I had a job phone interview and my dang phone kept cutting out. So will the G4 have the same issues? If it doesn't, why can't we get the same software as the G4? This is totally unacceptable for T-Mobile to have us just hang on and suffer while their engineers figure something out. They already have the answer or they wouldn't be ready to launch the G4.

Not definitely true. The G4 could be configured completely differently from the G3. (I don't know, I don't have schematics, or even logic diagrams, for them.) Even if they were pretty close, porting a few million lines of code from one device to a similar device, even with a large team, takes a long time. Two to three months is like instantly. (If you've never worked on a software project that size, please don't argue - I've been the project lead on more than a few of them. Just porting a small piece of the Hong Kong Planetarium automation system to a telescope, which is almost the same exact hardware, took 2 years, and it's a lot less code.)

They actually do have the answer and I have no idea why it's not an option. Everything on this phone was working perfectly on KitKat so why not just let the ones with issues flash back until they figure it out?
