Google offers sim-cards with no annual contract but only the standard sim card format. My question is can you take the T-mobile's standard sim-card and cut it to a micro-sim? Will the cut sim-card function correctly?

T-Mobile stores carry the Micro SIMs so they should be able to give you one when you sign up for the plan or else you can get a cutter from eBay for cheap.

This is the one I bought.....

yes, you can do it. you can cut it to micro simcard's size and use it on Nexus. you have to do it carefully without cutting the chip

They offer the micro on contract. The no annual plan is only for the standard Sim card. I talk to online rep they don't even let swap from micro to standard or now nano on there Sim card contracts.

You should call a T-Mobile store. My sister had prepaid and did pretty much all her problems at the store and there rly isn't much reason they can't activate another SIM for you. But maybe I'm wrong, but I wouldn't go off what a person on live chat said because they are clueless on what in stores do.

T-Mobile offers Micro-Sim cards on their Monthly 4G plans. Just go to the Monthly 4G plans page and click on SIM Card.

I went on Tmobile's website today and bought a micro Sim for 99 cents.
Free Shipping.
No need to cut anything... and I am ready for my Nexus 4 :-)

Defiantly not going to listen to the online rep again but again I swear when I looked they did not over the micro.

I glad at least I cleared up sim-card issue now I just need a white N4. This going to be my moto if you have seen my posts lately until a white N4 is available.

I am trying to do this also but I am unable to buy it from tmobile.com because they want me to add a plan and the $30 one isn't available.

For prepaid? You just buy the SIM activation kit.

Prepaid Phones | Pay as You Go Android Cell Phones | T-Mobile

There's no activation or plan selection at the time of purchase. That's done later.

Don't get this confused with the Value Plans, which are postpaid and require a contract.

Yes I see that one but when I go to checkout it says "You have a package in progress. To finish building your package, select a plan and add it to your cart."
Am I missing something obvious here? I don't see how to do this. Thanks for the help.

not sure, but i ordered one today w/o adding any plan. i choose the option that i have my own phone.

The site isn't letting me order because of maintenance or something, I think I see what I did wrong. I'll try tomorrow. Thanks.

EDIT: Got it now. ;)
