T-Mobile has opened beta sign-ups for customers to participate in the emergency StarLink satellite network with compatible phones.

Indeed. Let's just hope it doesn't become a tacked on feature but rather a free or mandatory (the government is free to actually step in and be useful for once) feature moving forward.

As dramatic as this sounds, this could be life or death in scenarios without coverage, network outages, natural disasters, etc..

Update: Samsung told me to F-Off via text message. I should have saved it.

Basically it's reserved only for the "newest phones". Apparently last year's flagship is old.
