I have the HTC One on T-Mobile with the unlimited data plan. As of three weeks ago, my data speeds have slowed down. Watching YouTube videos are painful since it is always buffering. Anyone else notice slower internet? I live in Sacramento, CA.

Are you in a weak signal area? Data usage shouldn't matter if you are on the fully unlimited high speed data. Are you sure you aren't on the 2.5 GB plan or even the 500 MB one? Those are unlimited but they slow you after that point.

I am at 37 GB and I still have my full speed.

I'm in a good area per their coverage map. It was fast when LTE came. Now it seems to have slowed down. Just checked my account and it says I have 9,999 GB of data. So I'm sure I have the unlimited data plan.

I would see if there is a tower issue in your area.

Thanks for the advice. I will give them a call. Data used to be blazing fast. Now it just crawls.

Checked my account and I've used 12 GB of data for the month. Bill closes on 10-3-13.

I used to have T-Mo and I can say that it was really fast. I live in the North bay in the San Francisco area. I have no problems when I was at home. The problem was when I was at work. I work in San Francisco, near AT&T Park. I was only getting 2 bars at most when I am in my office place, which is beside a window. But when I go deeper inside our building, all signal is lost. I used to have Boostmobile and I didn't have any problems even when I was in the basement of our building. My first phone with T-Mo was the Nexus 4, then i switched to Note 2, both I was having signal issues inside our building. The same when I go inside Safeway. After 2 months, I decided to ditch T-Mo and move to AT&T.

Have you had any signal problems when you go inside buildings? I would really love to go back to T-Mo, because of the "Unlimited" data usage.

My data speeds seem to be back to normal. I can watch YouTube videos with little to no buffering. :-)

Just fyi not sure what part of Sacramento your in but I heard T-mobile reception is really poor in the midtown area.

fingers crossed its better out here in Roseville as I'm about to make the jump from Boost to T-mobile with a Nexus 5 ;)

I got tired of waiting on Boost to allow BYOD otherwise I may have stuck with them as Sprint seems to have improved lately.

I'm in the south Sacramento area and I notice slowdowns too. YouTube videos buffer every 3 to 5 minutes. This is with a full bar Lte that speed tests at 34mbps dl and 28ul. I'm a heavy data user (stream lots of sports). This started happening in September and is still ongoing. I have 4 phones to swap so it is definitely not a phone problem. T-Mobile denies they are causing the problem or that there is a problem.

I live in south Sacramento. Data was great then it started to slow down. I had issues with YouTube buffering constantly. My GF works downtown and her data isn't usable. I used to work at the galleria mall and my data speeds were great.

Yeah, my data speeds average 20 down and 10 up. There should be no reason for YouTube buffering. I too thought T-Mobile was some how limiting my data speeds.

Thanks for the link. I hope they figure it out. I've been following the thread on XDA.

Having this same issue in Oakland/Alameda. Went from 5 to 10 to 1 to 2Mbps in the last week. On a nexus 4 running 4.4 GEL and Search.I dont know if the network of the recent 4.4 update but it sucks. Apparently im not the only here. Huge discussion here: Noticing drastically reduced download speeds? You're not alone | TmoNewsTmoNews

You didn't post the most up to date article on it.

Official statement.

That only addresses the downloading reduction and not the reduction in network speed.

.... That... Is... The same thing. When you do a speed test it's a download of data...And it measures how fast you're downloading it.. Therefore giving you a speed.

I'm on the westside of Chicago and I was having the same issue last week but come to find out it was a tower issue now I'm back to 20+ speeds.

It's still 9 PM EST so 6 PM PST.

Also I doubt it will be fixed over night... A few days is more realistic.
