Got the original model (white) in December 2021 for my daughter, it's still going strong.
Got the updated model (black) in November 2022 for my son, it's still going strong.

Both are protected with these cases from Amazon ($10 for 2, they work really well, we've gone through at least 3 on each watch, but they always protected the watch)

The updated model, which is supposed to be more splash resistant, got wet one day (heavy splashes, not submerged) and it impacted the speaker quality/clarity, but it's still very usable.

Geofencing works, but the notifications sometimes come in up to 30 minutes after the fact, in which case they're pretty useless.

I would still highly recommend them - my 13yo and 10yo love them.
