T-Mobile (USA) & Metro-PCS new updates

The carrier minority models for T-Mobile (USA), model G900T, and its sister models, the Metro-PCS model, G900T1, and T-Mobile (USA) model, G900T3, have received updates to their Android 5.1.1 firmware.

All are now on firmware release OL1.

The changelist # for all of them is, yet again, exactly the same as previous releases, T-Mobile (USA) (both models) = #5406928 and for Metro-PCS = #5117004. This would indicate that these are merely security patches and not actual firmware updates.

At over 300 megabites the update would seem to be more than just a security update. My phone does seem to be less sluggish now but it may be just my imagination.

Interesting! Since, as I mention in post #1, there has been no increase to the firmware's changelist, I wonder what else you think it may be?
