T-Mobile V20 Update

I just received the September Security Patch. Those of you V20 owners on T-Mobile be on the lookout.

I just did this update a couple days ago and I think it is draining my battery fast now. Android system always being at the top by a lot. Guess it's factory reset time again.

Android system or Phone Idle?

It says Android system for sure. Phone idle is a few down. This is new since the update.

I’ve noticed already today that I had to recharge my phone which is way early so hopefully things will settle in before the next charge again.

Also I noticed I have one less bar of service more often now then before the last update but the rsrp on the signal is still the same so humm.

My battery also seems to be draining a bit quicker. Hopefully it will right itself soon.

I received the same update notification about 2 days ago. Based on the fast(er) (seemingly) battery drain, should I wait or totally discard the update? I never care much about security patches so far.

are your phones factory unlocked or tmobile branded? I am on tm and no update and mine is a factory unlocked

Mine is T-mobile. The update comes T-mobile. Seems to be a security patch.

I noticed the battery drain too. i went and enabled Data Saver and that seems to fix the battery.

I mentioned earlier that I've been having battery drain since the update. What I noticed also was that high accuracy GPS was triggered. The update seems to trigger it (on my phone at least) after every restart of my device, hence part of the reason for the drain....

Be on the lookout for that.
