Just picked up the 10 from tmo and was wondering if any of you know if it launched with the updated software that improves the camera and provides the may security update? I know the AC review was updated with the new improved photos. Or do we have to wait for tmo to push it out still?
Thanks

It sounds like all the carrier versions aren't coming with the latest update. I'm with Sprint and I'm still waiting for it.

That's good to know because the pic quality and performance is disappointing out the box compared to what they advertise it can do.
It's worth hanging onto knowing a fix is coming.
Great device. I have a s7e but wanted a more stock experience.

Yeah I'm having just some occasional autofocus problems but I still can't wait to see what the fixes will bring. I'm really loving this phone so I can imagine it only getting better.

I used my Jump on Demand yesterday to replace my S7 after finally my local store called me that they had it in Stock, I kept my S7 edge. As soon as I began to set it up, I really hate a couple of things beginning with the Sense 8 UI, people always complaints about Touchwiz but I've always hated Sense more, and now that touchwiz has themes (tons) is even bigger the difference for me. Just installed Nova launcher that I haven't needed and haven't used since I got the S6 edge and using their themes.

Anyways, it's impossible to not compare these 2 flagships, but out of the box I wasn't happy with the HTC10. Knowing about the updates pending and limitations on them, i decided to just followed XDA forum guides to Unlock the Bootloader, do the S-off to root and being able to change the CID and install the Unlocked US version on the phone, so right now, I got the T-Mobile version so I keep my Jump on Demand open, pay it monthly, and basically is the same than buying the US Unlocked version.

I'm still re-doing all my settings but so far everything seems to be working just like this morning, just that I'm unlocked with latest firmware versions and will get all my future updates as soon as they are released by HTC and not T-mobile.

If some of you are willing to do it, and are willing to pay the $25 fee for getting the S-OFF, then follow this links:

Why is the no tmobile forum - Post #29

De-brand/convert to WWE using a RUU. - Post #3

Both of them are for the same, the first one is just a summary, the second one is more detailed, just get the Firmware version as an exe file from the first link but you can follow the second link and it's kind of more detailed and easy to follow.

**Note** - Be aware that it's not a quick and easy process, you need to do your part and read carefully, if you just read and follow the instructions carefully, it's safe, if you have doubts and don't feel comfortable with the process just don't do it, I'm not responsible if you screw it.

The update helps certain things but if you're having trouble, you likely need to familiarize yourself with the exposure slider. I was having no trouble getting great shots before the update, though the update will help a lot of people out.

Regarding Sense, I greatly prefer it to TouchWiz or even Nova. I didn't even know people still used Nova until I read the Samsung section of the forum. To each his own though.

In regards to your comments on sense...I've had every flagship for the past 2 years (thanks Jump!) I've put Nova on each and every phone. This is the first phone I'm on the stock launcher. Highly impressed by the customization. There's a couple things I would like to do on the stock sense launcher over Nova but not deal breakers. Loving my stock HTC 10.

Yea, it's pretty amazing. I used to be into having TWO launchers so I could customize everything exactly depending on what I was working on, etc. I was truly neurotic about it. With HTC phones, forget it! I don't need all that nonsense because everything is intuitively and intelligently they laid out. I think HTC and Motorola are two companies that really think about user experience and create the most clever devices in that regard.
It's one of those crucial things that gets missed in phone reviews. It's not a spec, it's an experience.

Can you adjust the icon size jn Sense? They're too big like on every stock launcher, and so I had to install Nova (my go to)
