Do you think it will have the same T-Mobile standby issues that the s6 had ?
I loved the s6 but the battery was horrible because of that and it forced me back to the iPhone 6 plus. Battery is awesome.
Hoping it's worked out for the note 5 because I really want it !
 
I think the battery issues were more than just T-Mobile standby

I hope not. I know once the S6 got updated from T-Mobile that stupid "My Account" app couldn't be shut off and that caused a lot of headache. I hope they don't start that trend.

I was not able to disable it... I did force close and clear cache. All good until a reboot.

If that happens from now on, then you could always try PackageDisabler from the PlayStore, at least for Samsung Devices.
 
Just found a work around for the My T-Mobile app (or any other app you dont want to see on your status bar).

Long press on the the app in the drop down. It will bring up a menu and three options. Turn off the first and the last and it will be gone!!
