For me I have to bring up the contact to have the option

Lol I meant i can't do it from the text messaging chat. Only option is to call the person not video dial.

Nice touch that Samsung messages has Duo integrated while Google's own Google messages app isn't. I'm wondering if that's because may be Duo is not mandatory on all Android phones and that's why. Still looks bad and no this isn't enough for me to switch to Samsung messages from Google messages

I think on Verizon variant that option isn't there as well. Not US unlocked running on Verizon but Verizon version running Verizon firmware. There is a Reddit thread as well people confirming this. I personally can't since I don't have the carrier version.
