Tab 3 8.0 and HDMI adapter: How long does it run without power source??

I am looking at buying the HDMI adapter for my Tab 3 8.0 but I notice it doesn't have a power cord. Can you watch a whole movie via HDMI on one charge? Anyone used this adapter?

Do you mean something like this? Since it's just an adapter I don't think it draws too much power. You can probably watch 3-5 movies...whatever the normal battery life of your phone allows.

The Galaxy Tab 3 8.0 power cord plugs into the Samsung HDMI adaptor, so you don't' actualky drain any power from your tablet....it actually charges your tablet while you watch a movie.

I never tried using it without the power cord, so I don' t know how long it would last as a stand alone HDMI adaptor.

Yes. And it does look like it might have a jack there for power. I didn't see it the first time. I think you both might be right. I have found some others. I'm going to go for it. Thanks for replying!
