Tab 3 separating at bottom

Hi

I purchased a white tab 3 - 8.0 in February and I recently noticed that the screen is separating from the outside cover at the bottom and to the right side of the tablet. It has separated enough that I can fit my nail into the crack of the device. Has anyone else had this issue? I am just wondering what I need to do. Should I take it back to the store where I purchased it or should I call Samsung?

Thanks for the help.

If the 'screen' (glass faceplate digitizer) is separating and lifting up, that's bad. If the frame is slightly spread to the side you usually just need to push down and click it. This means the device was handled roughly, you gotta drop it or flex it to make that kind of thing happen no exceptions.

Ah while the 8.0 uses a different adhesive it's a bad idea to leave 7.0 or 10.1 outside in direct sunlight...it softens the faceplate adhesive and in worst case you could drop it and loosen the face.

The glass faceplate isn't lifting up at all. The glass faceplate is just separating from the bottom and to the right on the frame. I have never dropped this device/flexed it and I don't have kids so handled rough just wouldn't happen.

I have tried to push the glass faceplate to the frame together but it just goes back to the way it was before. I have a feeling its the adhesive in the part of the device, I just don't know what the store or Samsung would do about it.

That is very odd. I dropped my 7.0 heroically and SHATTERED the face a while ago. I had a sprung corner too but everything snapped together tightly. Took me a fifteen minute job to replace the glass faceplate later and again it snapped tightly together.

If it keeps opening up either you got something in there or the frame itself is warped? Could you possibly manage some way of giving us a picture.

I have a Tab 3 10.1 with the same problem, did you get this fixed and if so, how?

No, I still haven't gotten this fixed. Best Buy wont take it back because its past 90 days even though its a possible defect, they want to send it back to the manufacture which means I wont have it for weeks.
