Hi, I have a Samsung Tab A7. About a year ago the left hand quarter of the screen stopped working when you wake the device. After a while, it warmed up but it would differ according to what you were watching, more colorful or faster changing images like video would make the screen warm up quicker. Sometimes if I rub the bottom corner of the screen until my finger goes hot the picture springs into life, but as soon as the screen calls it starts to slow its response time. Eventually it comes to work just fine, but this is annoying. Recently this problem has spread to almost the entire screen which prevents me from starting a video in order to warm up the screen. And alarm notification works on its own so eventually the screen does take care of itself for stop does anybody know what has caused this and is there any solution short of changing the display?

I have a partial solution. Heating up the bottom of the screen makes it work. Does anybody know what would have caused this problem and what the solution would be?
