Tab A SM-T350 goes in continual boot loop

The unit is about 18 months old and worked fine until about 6 weeks ago. The reboot starts with battery below 50%, and will continue regardless of pressing the power button.

It is not started by the user, and will only stop if plugged in to a charger. Recharging to 100% will allow normal operation, but reboot cycle will start again [without any warning] when battery level drops. Recently it has occurred with the battery at about 70%, but is not consistent.

I have cleared the cache, done a factory restart, and charged to 100% and initiated a boot. All thing the internet suggests, but none are permanent.

I suspect it started after an update to Android, but have no proof because it may have started before my wife reported it to me.

The battery seems to take and hold a charge, but we don't know if this is true when the level is low. The reboot cycle makes the battery level drop and if left alone I presume it would drain the battery completely.

I know that we are not the only Tab A users with the problem, it has been internet boards for over a year and no one seems to have received any help from Samsung. We are just about to dump the unit and find another source - which will not be Samsung.

Help and advice would be greatly appreciated.

This is common problem of Samsung battery connector, especially this model: the battery is glue attached to the back of LCD. When the tablet is heated up, the battery can be loose from the double sided tape, causing the movement of battery's cables inside the connector.
Look at this picture, two red cables ( positive ) are not made contact with pins of battery connector.

This case, the cables make good contact

In order to fix this loose connection, you need the silver conductive glue to fill the gap between cable and pin of battery connector.

This one is more than enough for this task

Turn the battery connector over and fill in the opening spaces, fill as much as possible, make sure to clean up afterward by alcohol, otherwise you will make a shorted circuit.
It should not have any glue between cables from the side or the top of the connector.
I don't hold responsibility to the damage of mainboard due to careless action.

It should look like this from the original

And after filling the conductive glue

It will permanent fix the issue of auto restart, boot loop, or dropping capacity quickly; all caused by loose battery connection.

The fix most people do is to disconnect , reconnect battery and don't why it works, you should understand why now. A new battery sometimes do the magic of fixing problem simply it has tighter cable's tips, but sooner or later, it will have similar problem or even after a few days.

In my findings, if the boot loop happens because of water (getting water on the screen or in the headphone and charging hole ) it will often force the tab 1 into boot loop presumably to protect itself from the water. I also tried to clear my cache and it didnt help, the only thing i found was if you simply let it die, charge it, then once it powers on it will be fine. DO NOT CHARGE IT. Let it die and then you can charge it. Charging it while its still in boot loop will make it last until it dies. Meaning it wont stop if its charging
