I can't seem to find the auto restart feature in settings and under backup and reset?

Welcome to Android Central! Auto restart, or Automatically Restore?

Auto restart. There is a feature that allows you to select a time and day to have your tablet restart.

On the S5, it's Settings>Backup & Reset>Device Maintenance>Auto Restart. But this is the kind of thing that might not be available on all Samsung devices.

Is there a particular reason why you'd like to do this? Unless the device is slowing down or glitching, you shouldn't need to restart on such a frequent basis.

It is on mine under Settings - Backup & Reset. Mine is an SM-T810, android 5.1.1. I have not tried it.

Maybe you have to enable Developer options? Go to Settings - About Device and tap on "Build Number" till it says developer options are enabled. Fool with Developer options at your peril.

go to "Settings" choose "Backup Reset". on the right side of the screen under "Device Management" click "Auto restart" drag OFF button to ON.

Choose a time and day(s)

Hope this helps

Sabrina is correct. At least that's the way I set it on my new Tab S2. I have Lollipop version 5.1.1

Samsung recommends having the tablet auto restart. If you go to the Samsung + app and watch some of the videos there they mention doing this.

This looks to not be included on the LTE version of the TAB S2 9.7 or maybe just not the Canadian version of the device as it is not present in the settings menu.680.jpg

EDIT: Model# SM-T817W
Android version: 5.1.1
Samsung+ is also not supported on my version of this tablet and the google play store will not allow download of the app.
