Tab s7 text message app (AT&T) not working since August update

I have the tab s7 AT&T. I can still make phone calls but I cant make or receive text messages anymore. It just stop working with that new update from this month. Does anyone else have this issue or can anyone help me with this issue?

If I use Google messages I would have to chg it on my phone and I don't want to do that but thanks for helping

Ok , well worse case clear the data then force stop it , if thst doesn't work we can see if other members here ran into same issue , thats why i moved it to tab 7 forums

Ok well thanks much. I received this error message everytime I try to update to version 7 or higher and I'm on version 10
