I have a Tab S8. In Sounds and Vibration settings there an option to enable the UHQ upscaler setting. This is greyed out and I cannot enable it. I am using Type C wired earphones and have tried several brands, including some AKG (purchased in Asia) ones.
A year or so ago I had the setting working and was using some AKG earphones purchased in Australia. These earphones then failed on me (the control buttons or one earpiece stopped working) and I found the UHQ setting did not work with subsequent earphones (non-AKG). Looking at the web I got the impression that the setting requires AKG earphone.
Anyway the AKG ones I purchased recently in Asia don't allow the setting to be enabled. This might mean they are not genuine brand).
Any advice (other not to buy cheap "brand" earphones).
