Android Central Question

Ive recently been given an old @ tab seven by a relative, i need to update the firmware (currently on 4.0.4) but the option in settings say its up to date and the support info takes me to what appears to be a Chinese gambling website (theattab.com), would anyone be able to help me find some up to date firmware so i can use it?

Welcome to Android Central! It's highly unlikely there's an update for an off-brand device like that. You can try checking the forums at XDA-Developers.com, which is a better resource for that sort of thing, but I doubt you'll find anything.

Chances are that the manufacturer went out of business a long time ago, and that gambling site took over the domain.

I'll also point out that in order to get any kind of decent longevity out of the work of updating the OS (thinking of continued app support) you'd want to go to at least Android Marshmallow (6.0). Running a version of Android that is such an upgrade over the version that's there, especially such an old one, is going to be frustrating because it'll be so slow as the tablet just wasn't designed for it. Anything older than Lollipop (5.0) at this point is just not worth it, 6.0 would get you a little more time.
