Hi... recently joined and was looking thru posts about casting from my samsung tab2 7 to my tv. I recently got a MS wireless hdmi adapter that plugs into my samsung tv. It works fine with my acer switch 10. It is miracast based which I assume is "open system". Further, I upgrade my tab2 to 4.2.2 to get access the "feature" (ie. widi). However, I can't get it to find the adapter. The TV display indicates that the adapter is ready to be connected to. The tab2 scans but doesn't see it. :-( Anyone have any ideas about how this might be able to function or we talking "misdesign" of an "open feature" by two manufacturers... :-(
Thanks for any help / ideas.
PS. Further, I noticed that when I re-connected with my acer to the ms display adapter, the status in the samsung tab2 shows that the adapter is "connected to another device" so it seems to know something about it. When I disconnect the acer, the status disappears and selecting "scan" results in the tab2 not finding any devices. :-(
