Tablet keeps restarting when downloading newly downloaded apps — even from the Play Store

Hello everyone, this is a post I've posted on the Google help forums to only a reply. So my tablet has this weird thing going on when I try to install a new app from the Play Store, or an APK off the internet, it installs with success, but when I open it, it freezes on the splash screen before going to my tablet's boot screen. It then proceeds to restart.

One thing I've noticed is that when I download apps I've downloaded but uninstalled, it works flawlessly. The other thing I've also noticed is when I open the "Cloud media app" setting on the "Settings - Apps - Cloud media app", it also restarts to the boot screen. Could this be a software issue? I've never downloaded any sketchy app for that matter, and the last app I downloaded before this all happened was a guitar tuner from the Play Store. That was on the same day this started, too. It's been going on for months and it's driving me crazy.

A side note, when I open Files by Google, it doesn't show my files whatsoever, loading infinitely even with fast internet. (I'm afraid to uninstall updates to the app as I have important things in my safe folder.)

Welcome to Android Central! Considering that your tablet is an off-brand device, it's most likely faulty firmware or hardware. These off-brand or no-name devices typically have very poor quality control. My advice would be recycle that thing and look for a tablet from a better known manufacturer like Samsung, Lenovo, OnePlus, TCL, etc.

Thank you for your reply! Alright. I'll probably look into finding a new one. Kinda sucks I have to scrap it though, considering I just bought it a year ago.

If you're looking for a decent tablet on a budget, I think Lenovo is pretty good. I have a Lenovo Tab M9 (the version with 4 GB RAM), and it's been quite good -- currently $99 on the Lenovo website with a coupon code: https://www.lenovo.com/us/en/p/tabl...series/lenovo-tab-m9-(9-inch-mtk)/len103l0016. Decent performance, nice bright display (although only 720P, not 1080P), loud stereo speakers, and Lenovo has gotten better about updates as well.
