Hi There,
The screen on my son's Galaxy Tab 4 started going black about every 5 seconds a few nights ago. I thought it wasn't charging--and it wasn't; the battery went from 8% to nothing and then the tablet died. I left it charging overnight and it still wouldn't power up. So I got some tools, took it apart and cleaned and tightened up the port, which was quite loose. Nothing.
Then, I held down the power and volume buttons at the same time, and it tried to power up. It took awhile, but eventually, it came back on and showed the battery was at 43%! All the while, (while booting up and after powering on) the screen continued to flash to black every few seconds. Then the power bar started dropping quickly, and I turned it back off once it got to 33% (within 3 minutes, mind you).
I thought the tablet had a charging problem. Now I'm not sure if it's a problem with the screen, a problem with the battery, a problem with the port, or just a problem that requires a new tablet.
TIA for any suggestions!
