Tabs/windows on Google chrome frequently freeze

[Android Central Question]

The Google chrome tabs/windows on my Lenovo m8 FHD tablet frequently freeze. That is, I will have 5 or 6 tabs/windows atop the screen, but the only tab/window that works is the last one I set up (opened).

The others are frozen when I click on them. And they cannot be closed by clicking on the "x". Nor can they be dragged. How can I fix this? Thank you!

Have you tried clearing cache then force stop it?

Welcome to Android Central! I have the same tablet, and I've noticed that sometimes the Chrome screen freezes. I find that if I swipe up just a bit from the bottom of the screen (as if I was about to open the app overview using the gesture navigation), that will unfreeze Chrome. I suspect it's a bug with Lenovo's firmware (probably after the Android 10 update), since I don't see this on any of my other devices -- send feedback to Lenovo about this.
