What's the point?

What can it really do more than my phone? I have smart phone to do all these things in the back of my pocket. So I don't have to carry around something large.

If I wanted to carry around something why not a notebook? Sure its heavier; but, at least I'm getting more out of what I'm carrying than just size.

Are there particle application for the tab? Sure, maybe in a hospital, etc. for the general consumer? To the point where you can have a bluetooth keyboard for your tab? (another thing to carry).

Notebook or smart phone. The in between is not necessary.

Just my thoughts.

I would also agree with you. I wanted a tablet for when I'm on the plane but thought about it, get a netbook with 10hour battery life and it will be fine. I think the only tablet I would think about getting is the blackberry playbook. But I would wait, videos of it look great but they usually do until the device comes out and the OS sucks.
