Tap notifications on the lockscreen to open app

I just upgraded from a galaxy s7 edge to the pixel 3, and one thing that I miss and I hope I'm just overlooking a setting. On the s7 when there was a notification on the lock screen, id press it, fingerprint unlock, and it would unlock TO the app the notification was from.

With the Pixel when I try that, it just takes me to my home screen and I have to navigate to the app that notified me. Not a huge deal, but it was definitely very convenient the samsung way and I feel like that is something the Pixel should be able to handle?

And i'm an *****... as soon as I posted this I realized you just have to DOUBLE tap the notification to make this happen.
