"Tap to capture" message

How do I get rid of the stupid "Tap to capture" box that stays on the screen constantly when using the front-facing camera? It goes away if I disable the "touch to capture" option but I shouldn't have to do that.

Unfortunately it doesn't look like there are any settings for that. Basically you're stuck with hoping they take it out in a future update, trying to find a custom ROM that took it out (I'd bet there are some, they like messing with the camera app), or using a different camera app.
