It seems like whenever I go to my task manager these apps are always running:
VZ Navigator
IM
CarDock
MotoActv
Slacker
Voicemail
I haven't even checked my voicemail, I would use Motocast or Pandora over Slacker.. is IM the program used to text? If so, that would make sense. I'm not in my car, so not sure why VZ Navigator or Maps (which also is always running) is on - unless it's because Smart Actions requires GPS and those programs are how the GPS is determined..
Anyone have any ideas about this?
*Also - Is there a way to have the screen unlock allow you to go straight to a text message? My girlfriend's Charge has this feature and it's so much better than having to unlock, bring down the menu, then finally get to the text.
Thanks in advance
Edit: Also, Yes they all are in the "auto-off" settings in the task manager, but perhaps thats also contributing to the "Android OS" eating the battery, having to constantly stop and restart these programs?
