ok. so i was told i didnt need ATK on my fascinate since i loaded it with EB01 froyo....my battery life is god awful since the installation of froyo....so i unistalled ATK, and battery life was still terrible. dead in a day with light/medium use. i could get 2 days with light use previously....so i was messing around with my phone. with nothing showing as open in task manager, i went into settings-->applications-->manage apps--> running services still shows everything ive opened since i booted the phone ie. browser, facebook, email, google, stuff without widgets running, i had to force stop all of these things to close them.....so my conclusion is the built in task manager doesnt do a friggin thing....so i installed advanced task MANAGER, cuz the review was better battery life than ATK...and after using the kill widget, the running apps list no longer showed all the crap that was open before, so it actually works, unlike the onboard manager......any thoughts on this?? am i wrong on it not working??

im gonna give ATM a day or two and see if it helps my battery life at all

The problem lies in the kernel and radio scan ...not in the open apps .this is android not ios.it was designed to multi task. By forcing your system to shut down running resources you are forcing it to work harder. Task killers drain even more because it constantly scans your system.

mmk. another question...since i put EB01 on i get DRM license notifications. is this because its an open development OS? and is there nothing i can do about it? it even caused my phone to reboot a couple times

i dont remember what was causing that but it if you try one of the versions of superclean prefrebly the latest with the EC10 kernels you may have better luck because i havnt seen DRM since stock and my battery life is pretty great

and can you post a link to that build? i still dont know how to navigate through this forum too well....then i gotta find the thread again that shows the steps for odin. (facepalm)

its the frankenclean file right....do i want the voodoo or non voodoo version. im not familiar with voodoo or what it does..it lists multiple kernels. how do i choose the EC10 once im in odin? are there separate kernel files in the zip folder that i can choose to run in odin?

Nope, no wipe. I tested it for him earlier. Still had all my contacts, apps, text messages.

sweet. deal. ima try it right now. but i really think this ATM is helping it beeped 15% warning 20 minutes ago and it hasnt dropped 1% yet. before ATM it would be at 13% by now. in sleep mode. thats how bad it was. lol...but yea. ill let ya know how i make out with 2.9

I flashed this past weekend and everything is great. The write up is easy to follow as for battery it must be an individual problem. My phone was 100% last night left it on unplugged all night, ran Pandora at work for almost 6 hrs, answered some calls, text and mail and still had 15% at the end of the day.
