Tasker/Wifi Issue

I use tasker to control when wifi turns on and off based on the Cell Near function. So when I connect to certain cell towers it turns on the wifi. Since I got the Nexus 5X that has not been working. I'm not sure if it's a marshmallow issue or something else. There's a way to search for new towers and when I do that it doesn't find anything new or tell me which one I am connected to. Does anyone have any experience with this or know if the app lost some features with the marshmallow update?
