TB as a photo vault

I would like to use the TBolt to back up my photos on a trip. I have been led to believe that this might be possible in 2.2, but I don't think it's a standard procedure. I see just a few configurations, none of which I think are apps or even possible:

1. connect a card reader to the camera and drag/drop/somehow load the pics to the internal SD card.

2. connect the phone directly to the camera and load the pics, but I doubt the software will recognize it and don't know what to do if it did.

3. Take SD pics on a micro-card with an adapter, put the card in the camera, move the pics to internal memory (is that possible), the switch back cards, and move the pics back to SD (again, I don't think that's possible, and it wouldn't be a CF solution.)

If I had a bluetooth enabled camera, I might have another option, but I'm using a Canon S90 with SD cards and a Nikon D200 with Compact Flash cards.

Any help would be appreciated, even if it's just to know that I have no options at this time. I have no doubt I will eventually.

do you have a computer with you? you could transfer via computer to the micro sd. (i think this is your stated option 1) this should work without a problem, i have done this already.

i dont think option is possible as of right now, but i could be wrong.

i think on my phone the pics are saved dcim or dicm whatever it is folder. this is the same path my dslr saves to with an extra folder inside of it. i would think you can just swap micro sd cards

Thanks. I should have specified that the intent was to travel without a computer. It is true that if I have a friend's computer available, I can do the transfer either directly through the computer of using the computer as temporary storage. Swapping micro cards might work, but wouldn't actually backup the files, since they would only be one one card. (I don't know why I worry about such things so much...) Last time I took a major trip, I cycled through cards so I'd only lose a fraction of the pics if one was lost.

Just keep a couple of memory cards handy, and...turn down the resolution on your cameras.

Unless you're printing poster sized pictures, you only need a 2-5 MP setting.
I only print 4X6 and the occasional 8.5X 11...and it's still fine.

:) I've got plenty of memory cards, and I don't need to turn down resolution. I've printed an excellent (at least in resolution) 16x20 from the tiny Canon, and a 20x30 from the (relatively tiny) Nikon. I'm only trying to back up pics so I worry less about losing them. Eventually sending them to the cloud will be the solution.

never turn down the resolution! I always use the best available, you an always go down with it but if you set it low you can not go up, I always use jpeg + raw on my camera, ya it takes up twice the space but I can delete what I dont want/need

I bring 32 gb of memory with me (I shoot pro) but I also had a hyperdrive for backup.
The phone doesn't have enough power supplied to the usb port to transfer photos.
Best bet is to bring a card reader and use the hotel computer in the lounge/ lobby to transfer from the cards to the phone each night.

Thanks. That's what I expected. If there was a second power source, maybe it could work. I haven't bought a backup drive, and will continue to just be careful. I'm don't shoot pro, but it would still be irritating to lose pics.
