TB NOT syncing calender through Exchange 2010 SP1

This is what I just got from HTC. WTH?

"I understand thatyou are having an issue syncing with the Thunderbolt

Tim, can you make sure that you have disabled the VCAST application with Verizon customer support. However, it may also be due to the fact that HTC devices do not yet support Exchange 2010. It may or may not work correctly. However, compatibility with Outlook 2010 has been definitely heard by our engineers. We are working to make our devices compatible, but no word on a release date as of yet."

Anyone tried the VCAST route? I'm kinda left not knowing what to think next....my freakin EVO and Incredible had no problem with out Exchange 2010 server.

Found a possible work around for anyone suffering from this:

Go into Outlook and view your calendar items in list view, highlight them all and add a category. Then remove the category from all items. After doing this my calendar syncronized on the first try.

Funny though, they said all HTC Sense phones were like this. Not just the ThunderBolt.

I'd like to be sure I understand what the issue is here.

For me, calendar events created on my PC in Outlook do get synced to the phone.
However, calendar events created on my phone are not turning up in Outlook on the PC.

Is this what others are seeing?

I was seeing the opposite, my calender events that existed in my Exchange mailbox weren't syncing at all, but if I created a new one it would...sometimes. It seems like there are all kinds of odd sync issues.

This worked for me too. Good find. Thanks!!!

Okay, seriously, how did you figure this out?
(not actually asking for the answer, just amazes me how we come up with these "jiggle the handle" fixes. :)

Everything works fine for me. I know we're on Exchange 2010. Not sure about the SP1 part.
