Ok i have had the TBolt since launch day. I have rooted and flashed stuff to it. I know need to get useful and apps that i can use and work great on my TBolt. I have the basics installed:

Twitter
Facebook
Superuser
ROM Manager
Dolphin Browser HD
Get Glue
ShootMe
Spare Parts
Swift Key
Tapatalk
Titanium Backup

I want to know what else is good to have. I use stock widgets like Music player and calendar. What would be good replacements of them. I also would like to use a better contacts widget the on on here is very sketchy.

I come from BlackBerry, although there are many "apps for noobs" or "top apps threads" i need one tailored to me and TBolt not all android phones. Any recommendations would be greatly considered. I just want to hear what you all have to say and what apps you have and some details. I have searched The market and in other forums but i need some input. Thanks

I hope this doesnt get moved to the apps section. I dont want everyones opinion just current TBolt users. We are a different breed haha

I'm preparing to root now, so now all I can recommend are boring non-root apps ;)

Simi Clock is awesome...the 4x1 widget is a slick clock (my bg is blue transparent...very smooth), add in the launcher for 8 apps, as well as the weather and battery meter, all in the clock space, and still minimalistic.

Youmail - I'm not sure I could ever do without this. Got hooked on it with my Storm.

Vignette - this seems to take much better pictures than the stock camera app.

Poynt - if you haven't, you will.

Scoremobile - only see the sports you want to, very slick app. Another Blackberry holdover.

Taskos - task manager, add by voice, sync to web account, set call alarms for contacts and it adds a call button.

Astro File Manager - great file explorer

Screen Filter - I know HTC has brightness widgets, but with this one you set your %, then it's a nice add-in to the Simi clock launcher

My Coffee Card - sorry, had to add this in. I love not having to carry my Sbux card around or ever ask for a receipt

No app is boring to me. I just know that i need to broaden my scope of what is out there and if its worth downloading or buying.

Double twist is a real good music player/media app replacement. I use it in conjunction with their airsync app to sync my others library.

Gesture search - has made "people" or contacts book obsolete for me
Handcent - for nicer looking texting with more customization options
Elixer - all around useful for things like sd card space and battery stuff etc
Espn scorecenter, google scoreboard, and mlb at bat - for sports info
ADW ex - so i dont have to really see the sense in current sense rom and all around customization goodness
Melon - for notes
Shoot me - for screen shots
Drop box - for getting files to and from phone and cpu
Wheres my droid - in case i forget where my phone is
Google car home - for driving
Alarm droid - to wake up
SMS backup + - to save my msgs and call logs
OI FILE manager - to install things or what have you
Rom manager and titanium backup - to manage and backup things
Dazzle power control - for things that arent included in other power bars
Appbrain - to find new apps

Music replacement: Mixzing
(Alternative: Double Twist)

Calendar Replacement: Pure Calendar
(Alternative: Jorte)

Try Screen Capture. I LOVE it better than ShootMe. :D

Thanks for all the ideas, coming from a BB Storm, I had no clue what "apps" actually were. I've downloaded a few of the ones suggested on this thread.

The only other app I love is Nuch Chorris Facts. About 6 months ago a friend of mine turned me on to one of the greatest TV shows of all time, Walker Texas Ranger (certainly one of the funniest shows I've ever seen). So, the first app I downloaded was Nuck Chorris Facts, and I send that friend a hilarious new fact every day. That app cracks me up. The first day I got the phone, I must have looked like a crazy person, because I was just sitting there laughing in the middle of class and work while everybody else was silent and staring at me.

Photobucket Mobile - Photobucket
Pinball Deluxe - Pinball - 4 tables
PodTrapper Podcast Manager - Podcast/Vodcast Manager/Player
Poynt - Find Gas, Restaurants, etc
QQ Player - Video Player multi-format
QR Droid - QR code reader
Rainy Days - Standalone Weather Radar only
Scanner Radio - Police and Fire scanner
ScoreMobile for Android - Sports Scores with great Widget
Slacker - Slacker Radio
SpeedX 3D - Game (works with red/blue 3d glasses)
Street View on Google Maps - Not an APP - Plugin for Google Maps
TwonkyServer Mobile - For DLNA access on wifi network
US Army Survival Guide - You never know …
Visual Voicemail - Voicemail app
Wheres My Droid - Phone Finder
Yahoo! Mail - Yahoo Mail client
YouTube - YouTube app

All apps listed are Free except for HoneyDew and PodTrapper but I consider them both essential. Visit versatilemonkey.com for more info, both apps are from the same great developer. Almost all are from the Android Market. Yahoo Mail client was needed because it is the only e-mail account I have that K-9 couldn't handle on its own due to restrictions from Yahoo.

I'm sure some will be removed as time goes by and others will be added. This is a work in progress after all.

Haha that would be hilarious. Reminds me of BBs attempt and an "angry" branded game called angry farm which should have been called angry freeze since thats all it did. Im actually not a big fan angry birds or any games to say the least. But that was funny to see.

I use a lot of the apps mentioned in this thread so far. Others that I use daily/consider essential are:

Google Voice (free visual voicemail, etc)
Evernote (note-taking app)
TV Listings (my fav TV guide app)
Chrome to Phone (since I use Chrome on my Mac)

I felt the same way until I recently played it on my friend's phone. It kind of reminded me of Scorched Earth and Worms, both games that I used to enjoy. Angry Birds is the only game that I have, but I do enjoy it.

OK, you guys have now increased my apps drawer ten fold...THANKS A LOT!!!! hahaha love it.
