TBolt doesn't restore apps from droid?

Hello, I hate to ask this because I'm sure the answer has already been posted but I did a few searches and couldn't find anything.

I noticed my apps from my old Droid haven't re-installed themselves yet. When I used to load custom ROM's on my old droid, my apps would automatically re-download themselves in the market. Any idea on how to do this with the T-bolt?

Thanks for getting back to me. In menu>settings>accoutns and sync>google , I only see options to sync contacts, calendar, and gmail. Nothing for apps.

The apps are restored on a per-device basis. So it will not auto restore the apps from your Droid. However, the apps you purchased on your Droid will show up as purchased on your Tbolt :)

If they don't all kick in just use TitaniumBackup to copy the files over via PC. You would want to do that anyway in case you had app-specific data that Market doesn't store and things like pre-July Shazam that let you have unlimited tags for free.

settings>privacy>auto restore i think

Thanks, but Backup my settings and Automatic Restore were both already checked. Automatic Restore's description reads: "Restore applications' data from backup when they are installed"

Ah that makes sense. I guess, I'll just do it the old fashioned way. Thanks!

That's not 100% correct. I've had Droid apps auto-restore on my Xoom the second I turned on my WiFi and logged into my Gmail account.

Maybe it's different for smartphones - my T-Bolt only auto-restored Google & Adobe apps IIRC.

I've had all my apps auto-restore on my rooted nook with CM7 on it. So it should auto restore regardless of device.

you get one try to restore non paid apps. if for some reason u stop or it u switch task you'll loose those apps. but paid apps will download no matter. if you still have your old Android phone connect via WiFi dl backup pro back up every thing minus settings then go into market and dl the app make sure your SD card is in your TB from old phone and reinstall them that way. the apps should store to the pho.e or make sure they do then you can reinstall your larger SD card.

If you want, you can also install your apps to your phone through Google Market's Browser page. This allows you to type quickly/easier with a computer keyboard. This is also how I found out that Google keeps different app setups for different devices as it will list all of the devices associated with your Google account and their respective installed apps.
