When using WiFi, my Tbolt stops downloading when the screen times out. Like today, for instance, when I was downloading Peggle (a 74 MB file), I left the phone om my desk for a few minutes and came back to find that the download had stopped when the screen timed out. I had to stay with the phone and touch the screen every so often to keep it awake in order to complete the download. This also happened when downloading the similarly large-filed Plants vs. Zombies via WiFi.

Any idea how to keep the download going without having to keep the phone awake, other that temporarily increasing the screen time-out time?

go into you wifi settings > hit menu > advanced >sleep policy

change it to either never or never when plugged in

Great! Found it. Thanks, jonnyshinta. I never noticed that sub menu before. By the way, do you know what selecting "Best WiFi Performance" does? There is a note that it may consume more battery power.

i believe it gives more power to the wifi radio to make sure it holds the connection and makes the data speeds faster. but i could be wrong

Yeah. It allows you to connect to your router at greater distances too.
