I realize this may not be practical I I may find out that wireless accessories and bluetooth are my friend, but using a wired device can save on paying for batteries and can be cheaper, since 2nd hand USB wired keyboards can be extremely cheap.

I am considering hooking up a wired keyboard to the Nexus 10 using the correct OTG cable and don't anticipate a problem. The keyboard itself also has 2 additional USB ports. Assuming this will work, I may at some point, plug an optical mouse into one of the keyboard's USB ports and an old-style USB gaming controller in the other.

My Nexus will be plugged in to AC power during much or all of the time I am doing this. Question is: In your opinion, will the combined electrical draw of a USB keyboard, optical mouse and gaming controller cause any potential damage to my device? I would assume that the electrical draw and/or current of each device is low, but this is a tablet, not a desktop and not does not have full USB support without being connected to the right cable.

I have noting to base this on but IF it works,it shouldn't damage the device however I think the biggest question would be : Will the devices will draw power from the battery faster than you can charge the tablet.
