Technically since this is a Nexus phone, can it be used on Verizon as well?

Since the Nexus S is supposed to be "unlocked" can it be used on Verizon's network? I looked around but I never found a definite answer.

No. Unlike the GSM version the ESN needs to be in the Verizon database for you to be able to activate it with them.
