Jon Rettinger, over at TechnoBuffalo compared these 2 devices and gave his opinions on which device performs best in several different categories.

Check it out here.

So I'm getting the X, and I'm sure that for the first time, I'm going to have a phone, that no matter what comes out, I'm still going to love my current phone:)

**EDIT** This post officially made me a Android Beginner lol

Ugh I hate watching those kind of videos.... not because they are bad but because it makes me want the X NOW!!!!!! LOL
That was one of the best videos I have seen so far Cory! Thanks!

OK review, but somewhat subjective. I was especially disappointed with his approach to comparing the speed of both units, that he relied on watching a video game app that ran for milliseconds, and loading a couple of browser pages, then assumed hat the EVO would have slightly beat the DX if it didn't process Flash. He didn't use any objective processing and graphics speed tests, such as Phil has done in recent reviews, which would have clearly shown a distinct speed advantage to the DX.

I also thought that the camera still comparisons were pretty meaningless without including full scale files for AB comparison. In every full scale picture I've looked at so far, the EVO seems to be doing some kind of edge enhancement processing.

Although it was a great review when it came down to it yes the EVO should have won(and no I'm not an EVO owner I'm getting the DX) but not exactly because of the reasons stated. With the front facing camera it just brings something to the table the DX could never without new hardware. The still shots at best were even but I did think the DX shots were better, but the obvious flaw was in his judgement was with video. The X ran circles around the EVO's video (clarity wise and sound quality) but he seemed to treat them as equals. Also he gave a round because of 4G wtf??? Something really nonexistent to the mass amount of EVO customers. Honestly without 4G that leaves wifi and if you're in wifi range a laptop would be the better choice but I guess if it was included in my X, my laptop would pretty much become obsolete (not really but it would take a pretty big drop in use, video chat would last longer on the laptop). Other than that and the fact that he used rudimentary (aka retarded) situations to determine which phone was faster it was an outstanding review one of the best out there.

ahhhh man i can't wait for next week. THIS PHONE IS GOING TO BE SO ****ING SICK!!!!!!!!!

Remember how the Evo looked so big when placed next to other phones for comparison in early reviews and pics? First thing I noticed in the video with it and the DX next to each other is that it actually looked small, or at least just 'normal'.

How true. Whenever I see picture of them side-by-side, I'm struck by how much wider the screen on the EVO looks, compared to the DX. The small difference in h/w ratio seems to make a big difference in the look of them.

the only gripe i have about the droid x is that i wish the screen was as wide as the Evo, its noticeably wider imo.

There are a lot of things that I like about the the Droid X, but the UI isn't one if them. It would have been more attractive with the stock Android UI. I love sense on my EVO, it makes that much better than other Android devices for me. But the Droid X has better battery life and DNLA. They are two terrific phones and must haves if you are on Sprint or Verizon.

It was interesting to view these, but judging the quality of the cameras (for example) more on their user interface than the quality of the images they produce seemed a little naive to me. I'd take a little 'clunkiness' in the UI over inferior photos any day. Anyway, seems both the EVO and Droid X are perfectly capable of taking decent shots in the right conditions.
