Im running droidmod 1.0 overclocked to 1000ghz, today it got warm and started rebooting over and over again. I pulled the battery and let it sit for a few minutes. After this it opened and I dropped the OC to 800mhz and it has been fine. My question is how do you know the temp of the processor? I have a battery widget and it has a battery temp but I cant find a processor temp app in the market.....

There is a "temp monitor" app, but my understanding is that it only works properly with certain overclock kernels (specifically Taz's)

You can try that out and see if it works. I have never gone above 900 for that very reason, stability becomes lost and I dont want my device rebooting for no noticeable speed difference.

I read that 800MHz is supposed to be a good combo of speed, battery life, temps and stability.

My Droid is currently running 800/250 and seems quite smooth.

800 is the perfect speed for this phone its stable and has no real issues running at that speed. But I need more

Yeah, I have always used the 900 but I cant imagine much difference honestly. The results and stability are far more important then having a "faster" non stable device.

Well from what I understand, each phone handles them differently. Like my phone is very stable at 1ghz, but became VERY unstable at 1.2ghz. Yet, some dudes can have it running at 1.2ghz and be fine.
